7 Days to Glory

2012 Lenten Home Study Groups: "7 Days to Glory," February 29 - April 4.

LENTEN HOME GROUPS
7 DAYS TO GLORY

Do you sneak out as soon as the choir finishes their last notes of Amen? Or perhaps you wait until the organist grandly finishes those last notes? If you're like me, not even the temptation of snacks gets you to converse after church. We're supposed to be here for community, and yet I dodge fellowship time quite effectively.

Now is your chance to become involved. During Lent, church member homes open up for small group studies in preparation for Easter. These small groups will fit the introverted spirit, and they're excellent ways to build community in a diverse church body.

Every church group will study the same books – The Being Reformed Series called “Seven Days to Glory”. There are study books, and each group leader will have a copy to share with you when you arrive to their home. As far as cost, you may pay $4/book, but this isn't a requirement to join. If you decide to pay, just write a check to the church or give your leader the cash, and he or she will make sure it reaches the church.
“Seven Days to Glory” examines the last week of Jesus’ life through the Gospel of Mark. These seven days contain many memorable events for Christians, and the groups will work together to begin to understand what these events mean for us today.

Interested? Set aside time on Wednesday evenings from February 29 to April 4 to join a group. Meetings will usually run from 7:00 – 8:30. Watch for details on locations in the emails and in the bulletin. On February 19 and 26 we'll have places for you to sign-up with groups after church. Hey, while you're signing up, grab a cookie and talk to your church family a bit too.

Interested in hosting? That’s wonderful. Email Helen by February 18.
