Central Church is located two blocks north of the state capitol Visit the RTD website www.rtd-denver.com RTD's trip planner will help you get to Central. It's easy! The light rail now stops 4-6 blocks from the church building and extends to large areas of the city. Many of the rides run every 15 to 30 minutes. Since we are a church in the center of the city, it makes sense for us to use mass transit whenever we can! If you are interested in the new Light rail routes opening Nov. 17, see the website www.SoutheastLightRail.com for details on the festivities for opening weekend, fees, buying tickets, schedules and more. On the Friday and Saturday of opening weekend, you can attend special events at some stations and ride for free on a limited schedule. The light rail stations closest to the church are at 20th and Welton, and 16th and California. If you use the 16th and California stop, you can ride the free 16th street mall shuttle to the Civic center station at Broadway and walk up the hill to the church. If you get off at Welton station, you can walk to the Brown palace hotel (you can see it from there), turn left, and walk up the hill. |
