10 ways to give $100 to support the Hunger Relief Day drive on October 10, 2010:

  1. Give $100 yourself.
  2. Save $1 per day for 100 days. Start July 1, 2010 and end on October 10, 2010.
  3. Donate $20 yourself and ask four friends for $20 each.
  4. Ask 20 friends to donate $5 each.
  5. Ask 10 friends to donate $10 each.
  6. Send a letter to family and friends, explaining what Hunger Relief Day is and ask for a donation.
  7. Take a walk around your neighborhood. Knock on doors and ask your neighbors for their support. Bring a wagon for those who want to also donate food.
  8. Get three friends to help you have a progressive dinner. Start at one person’s home for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, progress to the next person’s house for soup or salad, the next person’s for the main course, and the last person’s for dessert. Charge 10 people $10 for the meal.
  9. Ask a few friends to help you put on a bake sale, used book sale, or garage sale. Put up a sign that lets people know the proceeds will be going to Hunger Relief Day and set up a donation jar for extra donations.
  10. Ask 5-10 people to save all their change for 3-5 months. You save yours. Count it at the end of the prescribed time and use one of the other methods to raise the rest.
