Staff E-mail JACQUELINE DECKER VANDERPOL, Associate Pastor, joined the Central staff in September 2006. She has a B.A. in Religion from Pepperdine University and a Masters of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary. She formerly served as Minister of Church Life at First Reformed Church of Holland, Michigan.
JACKIE KENDALL-GEBEL, Director of Children's and Young Family Ministries, has a B.S. in Psychology from Iowa State University, and a M.A.R. in Religious Education from Iliff School of Theology. She is a certified instructor in Marriage Communication Lab, P.R.E.P. (Prevention and Relationship Enhancement Program), Six Thinking Hats, and Love and Logic Institute (parenting support). She is a published curriculum author and has done much work with the “Guild for Psychological Studies”. Jackie has been working as a Christian Education Director for over 28 years. STEVEN BURCHARD, serves as Director of Music. Steve joined the staff in early September, 2002. He has a Master of Music Degree from the Lamont School of Music, University of Denver. He has also served as Director of Music at St. John’s Lutheran Church and St. Andrew Lutheran Church. He was Director of Children and Youth Choirs and Assistant Director of the adult choir at Montview Presbyterian Church. Steve is also currently employed by Horizon High School teaching music. HEATHER L. JERGENSEN, Children's Choir Director, joined Central Presbyterian in May of 2005, was married here in June, and found herself as Children's Choir Director by September of that same year. Her background includes a B.A. in Voice from the University of Colorado at Boulder and an M.A. in Arts Administration from Golden Gate University in San Francisco. She also teaches Kindermusik and swim lessons.
First Presbyterian Church in Brighton, Colorado, where she served as Youth Director. Roz was previously Administrator at Church of the Hills in Evergreen, Colorado for ten years. She is completing her Master's Degree in Christian Education at Union PSCE. JOE SANCHEZ, Central's Church Sexton, follows in his father's footsteps. Central has been Joe's life work. He knows everything there is to know about the church. He knows where the elephants are in the sanctuary. He can tell you about the six-toed angel at Central. And only Joe knows the ins and outs of the attic and tower. JENNIFER HOFMANN, Wedding Coordinator, joined the staff of Central Presbyterian in October 2007. Jennifer’s background includes a B.S. in Business Administration from Framingham State College and several years of business management experience working primarily for Smuckers and Nestle companies before retiring in 2005. She also volunteers several hours each week working with homeless and head start kids through Volunteers of America. Jennifer, originally from Massachusetts, has lived in Colorado for 12 years. She met her husband Michael here and they have been married for 8 years.
