About this event:

Created by dittoddt

On September 18 and 25, join Jacqueline Decker Vanderpol to reflect on how the church has used its voice and built structures for economic, racial, women’s and environmental justice.  Using the Social Creeds of 1908 and 2008 along with stories from the century in between, we will think about how the Social Creed can help address new challenges to Christian social witness in the 21st Century.  On October 2, Jean Demmler – previous member of the Presbyterian Advisory Council on Social Witness Justice and current Vice-Moderator of Denver Presbytery – will share with the class about recent social justice action taken by the Presbyterian Church.  She will also reflect with us on the reaction to our social witness within the church and the larger community.
