April 7, international guest conductor Günther Stegmüller leads the German-themed concert which includes a finale by the world first rockstar, Franz Liszt. First up — Felix Mendelssohn’s poetic Calm Sea and Prosperous Voyage. Paul Hindemith then takes on Symphonic Metamorphosis on Themes of Carl Maria von Weber. Local clarinetist Jeremy Reynolds performs Weber himself’s innovative Clarinet Concerto No. 1.
