WOMEN’S RETREAT 2020
Our time together, led by Rev. Tim Mooney, will be based on the story of Mary and Martha, found in Luke 10:38-42. We will consider how this story has usually been understood, whether that has been fair to either or both of them, and what the story tells us about the ways that God calls and gifts women for vocation, livelihood, personhood, and meaning!
In our time together, participants will be invited to cultivate the gifts of both “Mary and Martha”, and recognize, embrace, develop and live into their own gifts and potential, what they “May Be”, for the here and now of our time and culture.
The retreat, by design, will be experiential in nature, inviting each woman to ponder and wonder about her own gifts and sense of call and purpose. We will employ contemplative practices and exercises, small group and dyadic sharing, enjoy the beauty and wonder of nature, and ground ourselves in contemplative worship.
We hope to see you at the 2020 Women’s Retreat!
